Have you tried a silent install with LICENSETYPE=1 (or 0 or 2)? Looking at the Properties table in the MSI, I see "LICENSETYPE=-1", and looking in the ControlEvent table, there are a lot of possible options around the InstallWelcome&Next control that don't trigger with a "LICENSETYPE=-1". I'd be (or I am) pretty disgusted by this company at this point and not want to do anything, but that is probably not an acceptable solution for your situation.
